Hazelnut Truffle

A beautiful blend of sweetness and sophistication, some might say our Hazelnut truffle has the appeal of an Audrey Hepburn movie. It’s creamy and sugary in all the right ways while still maintaining the integrity needed for long-lasting appreciation. Perfect for dessert after Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Rather than having a ganache at its center, our Hazelnut truffle actually contains what is known as a gianduja. This sweet spread is made by combining chocolate and hazelnut paste. The term gianduja comes from a marionette and Carnival character of the same name who represents the Italian region of Piedmontese, where hazelnut confectionery is commonly found.

Our Hazelnut truffle is unique in its nature because it is topped with fleur de sel instead of standard salt. Fleur de sel is French for “flower of salt,” and it is a type of sea salt that is hand-harvested by scraping the top layer of the salt before it sinks to the bottom of the salt pan. Since fleur de sel is hand-harvested and it has a French name, it makes perfect sense to use for our French-style, artisanal chocolate.

With the rich history of the gianduja and the use of traditional fleur de sel, our Hazelnut truffle has earned its place in our Classic Collection. And just like a classic movie, you won’t want it to end.
